How PCA2 Works

Electrochemical Analysis Technology

PCA2 operates using a fully automated electrochemical analysis process, including flow coulometry and voltammetry. It features a durable electrochemical measuring cell with maintenance-free reference and auxiliary electrodes and a long-lasting disposable working electrode.

The sample is introduced into the measuring cell via a suction tube. If necessary, reagents are added for proper chemical conversion.

The analyte undergoes electrochemical conversion, with low concentrations detected through pre-deposition onto the electrode surface. The deposit is then removed using a constant current, generating an analyzable signal.
