How EcaMon SaFIA Works

Electrochemical Analysis Technology

EcaMon SaFIA uses a two-step electrochemical process based on stripping voltammetry/chronopotentiometry. The sample is pre-treated to eliminate interferences and then passed through a flow-through cell where the target analyte is deposited on a working electrode. After deposition, the analyte is stripped by applying a constant current, and the resulting signal is processed to calculate the concentration.

Sample Intake
& Pre-treatment

A fresh water sample continuously flows into a sample loop. The system selects a portion, adds reagents if needed, and performs chemical pre-treatment in a reaction coil to eliminate interferences.

Flow-through Electro-
chemical Measurement

The treated sample is pumped through the electrochemical cell (EcaCell 353c or 104). The analyte is deposited on a working electrode and then stripped by a constant current. The resulting signal is measured for quantification.

Automated Data
Handling & Monitoring

The system calculates the result, performs calibrations and regenerations as programmed, and stores the data locally or transfers it to external systems via analog or digital output.
